Tragedy Averted as Family Witnesses Near-Catastrophe

Morning Cycling Session Canceled Amid Safety Concerns

A horrifying crash during a Commonwealth Games cycling event has left spectators reeling. England's Matt Walls was catapulted over the railings and into the crowd, narrowly missing spectators.

The incident is just the latest in a string of crashes that have plagued the Games. Sprinter Joe Truman also suffered a broken collarbone and was knocked unconscious in a separate accident.

As a result of the crashes, the morning cycling session was canceled on Sunday. Spectators were evacuated from the velodrome due to safety concerns.

The Commonwealth Games Federation is investigating the incidents and has pledged to take appropriate action to prevent future tragedies.
